JOB OVERVIEW:
The Senior Manager – Business Transformation: Manufacturing, Finance, and HR is responsible for leading enterprise business transformation efforts by identifying opportunities, aligning cross-functional needs, and ensuring data, analytics, and digital-enabled initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Data Management Office (DMO), this role serves as the primary business-facing leader for transformation initiatives and owns the execution of the DMO project and portfolio management function. The role ensures initiatives are well-defined, properly aligned, delivered with discipline, and adopted by the business, bridging strategy, execution, and value realization across business units.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with business unit leadership to identify, shape, and prioritize data, analytics, and digital-enabled transformation opportunities
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions to align on business problems, scope, and success criteria
- Ensure transformation opportunities are grounded in business strategy and supported by clear value cases
- Lead the definition and documentation of business problems, requirements, and success measures
- Validate data, process, and organizational readiness prior to initiatives entering delivery
- Ensure master data, data quality, and system dependencies are identified early and addressed proactively
- Design and operate the DMO project and portfolio management processes
- Ensure consistent planning, milestone definition, risk and dependency management across initiatives
- Drive delivery discipline to ensure initiatives are executed on time, within scope, and with transparency
- Provide regular portfolio status reporting to DMO and executive leadership
- Support enterprise intake and prioritization by ensuring requests are well-defined, aligned, and ready for evaluation
- Recommend priorities, sequencing, and delivery approaches based on business value, readiness, and capacity
- Ensure alignment between business expectations and delivery realities
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure business readiness prior to deployment
- Lead change management and adoption planning in partnership with business stakeholders
- Ensure delivered solutions are understood, adopted, and embedded into business processes
- Partner with Finance and business leadership to track realized business value against expected benefits
- Assess whether delivered solutions meet business needs and success criteria
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement based on outcomes and feedback
- Establish and own measures related to: reduction in rework caused by misalignment or unclear requirements, on-time and on-scope delivery of initiatives, business unit engagement and participation (including UAT), transparency of portfolio status/risks/dependencies, and stakeholder satisfaction
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, other technical degrees
- 10 years of experience delivering enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated experience leading project management and portfolio delivery in complex organizations
- Strong understanding of data and analytics–enabled transformation
- Proven ability to facilitate cross-functional prioritization and alignment
- Experience leading change management and driving adoption
- Strong business case development and financial acumen
- Experience working in SAP-centric enterprise environments
Total minimum number of years of experience required in lieu of degree
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Experience in CPG, FMCG, manufacturing, agriculture, or similarly complex enterprise environments
- Experience supporting analytics, data platform, or digital transformation initiatives
- Experience working across multiple business units with competing priorities
- Familiarity with formal PMO practices and portfolio governance models
- Must be able to work in office/desk environment for extended periods.
