How you will make history here... 

  • Shape the design direction of the DB portfolio (Rao’s Homemade, Michael Angelo’s, Pacific Foods) 

  • Create impactful packaging and brand experiences that resonate with consumers 

  • Translate strategic objectives into compelling design solutions 

  • Develop original concepts and guide projects from ideation to completion 

What you will do... 

  • Leading the development of package design concepts - lead from concept, execution, presentation, gaining approval, to completion) 

  • Communication Hierarchy – take communication hierarchy from the brief and translate into visuals that meet those requirements for packaging 

  • Package Design Execution  bring communication hierarchy, food photography and typography to create premium design concepts 

  • Premium Brand Design – understand the difference between standard and premium brands (e.g. Prego vs. Rao’s) and how to elevate package design for premium brands 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, innovation, and commercialization teams to bring package designs to market effectively 

  • Design Presentations: Create and present compelling design decks that showcase strategic thinking for packaging concepts and other brand assets 

  • Market & Trend Research: Stay ahead of packaging and design industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging design techniques 

  • Technical Execution: Work closely with production teams to ensure flawless execution across all touchpoints

What you bring to the table... 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Visual Communication, or a related field 

  • 6+ years of experience in brand and packaging design in consumer goods 

  • Recent package design experience on nationwide CPG brands is required 

  • Strong design strategy and execution skills—balancing creative vision with business objectives 

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and other industry-standard design tools 

  • Experience in artwork production & pre-press for high-quality output across formats 

  • Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills to communicate design rationale 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment 

It would be great if you have... 

  • Experience at a design/creative agency or in-house for CPG strongly preferred 

  • Knowledge of commercialization processes and participation in cross-functional meetings 

 

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$80,300-$115,500

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
