Senior Compensation Partner
Hub and Hybrid or Remote UK
The Sr Compensation Partner will be a senior member of the Compensation & Benefits (C&B) team for EMEA + LATAM, supporting the development and execution of compensation strategies that attract, motivate, and retain top talent. Reporting to the Director, Compensation & Benefits, this role partners closely with the global compensation team, local HR, Talent Acquisition (TA), and business leaders to ensure competitive and effective compensation programs that align with business priorities. This role contributes to and helps influence the annual calendar of compensation projects for the region, ensuring alignment with the COE calendar.
A high level of technical analytical capability—particularly advanced Excel and data logic skills—is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering
- Act as the primary compensation partner for the region, partnering with the Global Compensation team, local TA, and HR to provide guidance on pay-related decisions.
- Be the regional lead on global compensation projects, partnering with the global compensation team to drive strategic initiatives and ensuring analytical rigor in recommendations.
- Educate and engage managers on compensation philosophy, including delivering training sessions on pay structures and employee stock programs.
Compensation Benchmarking & Pay Reviews
- Lead EMEA compensation benchmarking efforts and support benefits benchmarking, using strong analytical and Excel capabilities to interpret market data and trends.
- Lead the annual salary survey review and submission process with a high degree of accuracy and data quality control.
- Conduct ad hoc market reviews in partnership with HRBPs and business leaders, synthesizing data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Lead job structure projects for the region, including job evaluations, benchmarking for new job families, and reviewing organizational structures.
- Oversee the upkeep and optimization of the compensation benchmarking tool, ensuring it is leveraged to its full analytical potential for the region.
Compensation Program & Annual Review Process
- Lead EMEA consultation and preparation for the global annual compensation cycle, ensuring local execution aligns with global strategy and is underpinned by strong analytics.
- Own and drive the regional total pay review process, providing advanced analytical insights to HR and business leaders.
- Provide recommendations and leader follow-up on high-inflation reviews to maintain competitive positioning.
Pay Equity & Regulatory Compliance
- Lead regional pay equity projects, including the UK, France, Sweden and emerging Europe gender pay reviews.
- Program manage compliance with the EU Gender Pay Directive and related reporting.
- Stay up to date on regional pay legislation, including mandatory pay increases and minimum wage rates, ensuring compliance and proactive planning.
New Entity Setup & M&A
- Lead compensation setup for new entities, partnering with a Sr. Benefits Analyst.
- Handle compensation aspects of mergers and acquisitions, ensuring alignment with company policies.
Consultant Fee Arrangements & Compliance
- Lead the annual fee review and management of consultants working for agencies in emerging market countries.
Other Compensation Projects
- Manage various compensation initiatives, including shift and overtime policy reviews, CBA reviews, secondment policy recommendations, and workers’ council partnerships for compensation-related changes.
Accountability & Embracing Change:
- Takes full ownership of initiatives, aligning outcomes with organizational priorities to deliver impactful results.
- Acts as a transparent communicator, ensuring team efforts align with broader objectives and fostering trust within cross-functional operations.
- Leads cross-functional teams through change by reframing challenges into opportunities, maintaining alignment with strategic priorities, and fostering trust through transparent communication.
- Builds morale by addressing concerns constructively and inspiring a positive outlook.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Advanced analytical capability and expert-level Excel skills (data modelling, logic-based formulas, and handling large datasets) are essential for this role.
- Strong technical knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation, benchmarking, and market analysis.
- Related degree would be beneficial
- Experience managing complex compensation projects, including pay equity and regulatory compliance.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with compensation in a global or regional capacity, particularly across EMEA, is highly desirable.
