The Team
The Genesys Global Security, Privacy & Compliance Centre of Excellence (COE SPC Team) provides expert security services (including security consulting and ownership of customer-requested security audits) to Sales, Presales, Customers and Partners. The team acts as the single point of contact for all security, privacy and compliance-related field engagements within the Genesys Cloud Business Unit.
Role Summary
We are seeking a senior security expert to serve as the Security & Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Genesys Cloud within the COE SPC team.
This role does not build, operate or own the Genesys Cloud infrastructure or its security controls. Instead, you will develop deep technical understanding of the Genesys Cloud platform and confidently explain, articulate and defend its security architecture and control implementations in complex discussions with diverse audiences, including experienced security professionals, architects and compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Security & Cloud SME
Act as the primary technical security and AI subject matter expert (SME) for the COE team.
Serve as the escalation point for complex security and architecture discussions related to Genesys Cloud Platform and Services.
Lead advanced technical discussions with enterprise customers, prospects, partners and auditors.
Security Control Articulation
Clearly articulate to diverse audiences how Genesys Cloud platform security controls are implemented.
Controls include IAM, encryption and key management, network segmentation, logging, monitoring, detection and response, incident management, web security, AI security and secure SDLC processes.
Interpret and present technical evidence packages provided by our platfrom security team during customer audits (logs, configurations, architecture diagrams, policies and automation artifacts) prepared by Engineering and Audit Operations teams.
Support customer audits, deep security reviews and penetration testing discussions with technically grounded responses.

What you will bring to the role
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or equivalent practical experience.
Strong understanding of cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) security architectures and SaaS shared responsibility models.
Solid knowledge of IAM, network security, encryption, key management, logging, auditing and monitoring in cloud environments.
Proven experience implementing, managing or consulting on security within AWS or similar cloud platforms.
Experience discussing AI security risks and mitigation approaches for cloud-based AI solutions.
Ability to confidently explain complex technical security concepts to both technical and business audiences.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
This role is restricted to candidates residing in and legally authorised to work in a European Union (EU) member state.
Nice to have skills or experience
AWS Security Specialty or equivalent certification.
Knowledge of enterprise-grade AI security, privacy and compliance frameworks.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and security automation concepts.
Experience discussing penetration testing findings and remediation approaches.
CISSP, CCSP or similar certification.
Fluency in German.
