Job Title: Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Overview:
Insulet Corporation is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Analyst to join our FP&A team. This role is open due to an internal promotion of the previous incumbent. This role will provide financial and business decision support to key leaders and their respective organizations. This individual will be responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis for these groups and help establish and/or improve upon robust tracking, dashboards, and analytics. This role will assist in forecasting processes, including the annual budget and long-range planning, analyze results to plan, and partner with other members of the finance and executive team to ensure that financial objectives are achieved. In addition, this role will provide financial analysis that will drive decision making around capital deployment and resourcing strategy. This position will report to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, and capital spending for subsets of the CTO.
Continuously monitor operating expense activities to ensure that financial commitments are met. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs through data-based insights.
Provide area leadership with regular financial reporting and leverage our technologies to provide insightful variance analysis on a consistent basis.
Partner with area team members to create financial models that enable thoughtful and data driven investment decisions.
Advocate for strong business controls and support Sarbanes-Oxley processes within Insulet. Partner with the accounting team to ensure that all expenses are reported as accurately and completely as possible.
Work on specific unique projects which may call for reporting and analysis skills, including continuous improvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) Support
Collaborate with CTO partners to evaluate and prioritize capital investment proposals.
Review ROI analysis for capital projects, including NPV, IRR, and payback period.
Track and report capital spending against budget, highlighting variances and risks.
Ensure compliance with capital approval policies and support the capital appropriation request (CAR) process.

Required Skills and Competencies
Excellent MS Excel and financial modeling skills are required.
Analytical thinker with strong business acumen, ability to summarize complex financial data into clear and concise recommendations for strategic decision support.
Experience with tier-one ERP and Business Performance Management tools required, experience with SAP / SAC a plus.
Able to synthesize and analyze large quantities of data to create useful information and concise analyses.
Experience with capital planning and tracking a plus.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. MBA is a plus but not required.
3+ years of financial planning and analysis experience in a global growth-oriented, publicly traded company, broad finance background that includes financial planning and analysis, accounting, finance, internal management reporting systems, budgeting, acquisitions and investment analysis and financial modeling. Previous manufacturing/distribution and healthcare experience a plus.
Proven track record as an effective financial business partner with a strong internal customer service focus.
Proven ability to learn new accounting & reporting tools.
Proven ability to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
