What You Will Do:

This position will support military item/component repair services business for various P&W MRO business units.  In this role you will perform multiple supply chain management functions, interact with item repair suppliers, and support proposal/business development efforts.

Extensive contact with the internal and external stakeholders throughout the value stream is required as this role plays a key role in the overall Supply Chain value stream.

You will be responsible for complying with RTX’s ―Code of Ethics, Policy Statement on Business Ethics and Conduct in Contracting with the U.S. Government, and related P&W policies & procedures. In executing responsibilities, incumbent shall take all steps necessary to foster open communications and to support RTX’s compliance, business practices, DIALOG, and Ombudsman programs.

  • Act as the main point of contact for all Aftermarket support engine programs.
  • Identify pricing needs, initiate supply chain actions in support of those needs and track/report milestone achievements.
  • Purchasing; executing request for quotes, perform quote analysis, negotiate favorable pricing, and award business based on “best value” criteria.
  • Identify business opportunities on SAM.gov and initiated activities needed to support potential business.
  • Ability to analyze supplier pricing data and construct complex a excel evaluations.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that drive value for both Pratt & Whitney and the customer.
  • Have a basic understanding FAR/DFAR acquisition requirements.
  • Successfully interface with various internal departments, external suppliers, and business units at all company levels.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders across different regions
  • Knowledge of international trade laws, import/export regulations, and customs procedures.
  • Familiarity with trade agreements, tariffs, and compliance standards

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years relative experience or in lieu of 3 to 5 years of purchasing experience.
  • Experience leading cross-function teams and projects.
  • Experience in Procurement or Supply Chain is required. 
  • Experience working on or in support of US Government proposals.
  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required and ability to analyze and create complex reports and metrics from ERP data to support decision making and interactions with suppliers.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Knowledge of procurement in support of government contracts is desirable.
  • Strong Leadership skills and a demonstrated track record of accomplishment in business performance.
  • Ability to work and communicate with multiple disciplines within the Military Engines organization.
  • Ability to initiate, lead and sustain change activities at the suppliers.
  • Ability to Maintain a positive and empowering environment with co-workers and vendors.
  • Experience with SAP/POWER BI or related ERP system is preferred.
  • RTX Corporation, as an aerospace and defense company, additional qualifications such as knowledge of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and FAR/DFARS (Federal Acquisition Regulations/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement) may be required for compliance reasons.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
