POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Advisor – Standards Implementation & Business Readiness partners with business and technology teams to turn business needs into clear requirements and workable solutions. This role supports initiatives from planning through implementation, with a strong focus on business readiness, operational adoption, and compliance related to the NCPDP Telecommunication Standard vF6.
This position serves as a subject matter expert for claim billing and retail point-of-sale (POS) processes, including reject codes, submission clarification code overrides, and standards-based data elements. The Senior Advisor ensures solutions are practical, aligned with business needs, and ready for use by internal teams, clients, and external partners.
The role also supports organizational readiness for industry standards changes by identifying impacts, coordinating across teams, and helping ensure smooth adoption across people, processes, and technology.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with business sponsors and technology teams to define and document business requirements
Lead business readiness activities for the vF6 implementation, including impact assessments, workflow changes, and operational readiness planning
Use Express Scripts project tools and methodologies to support delivery of business initiatives
Participate in required meetings, project ceremonies, and release planning activities
Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and readiness updates to stakeholders and leaders
Manage multiple initiatives at the same time while meeting deadlines
Partner with operations, client-facing teams, and vendors to support change readiness and consistent execution
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Five + years of experience in pharmacy benefit management, healthcare technology, or standards implementation preferred
Experience supporting large-scale standards or regulatory initiatives with a focus on operational readiness required
Familiarity with Agile methodology; experience with Jira preferred
Experience working across business and technology teams preferred
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment preferred
