About the role

Sponsorships at Bunnings play a powerful role in connecting our brands with people through the things they’re most passionate about – from sport and community to culture and shared experiences. It’s about showing up in ways that feel relevant, authentic and true to who we are, adding real value to communities while strengthening connection with customers and team members alike.

As Sponsorships Lead, you’ll be responsible for bringing our partnerships to life – shaping how they show up across channels, stores and communities, and ensuring every activation feels purposeful and on‑brand. Working at the intersection of brand, media, community and passion points, you’ll turn sponsorships into meaningful, high‑impact experiences that build trust, relevance and brand love at scale.

You’ll have ownership across the full sponsorship lifecycle, from planning through to activation and evaluation. Leading a small, high‑performing team, you’ll set clear direction for sponsorship delivery across the business while supporting capability, creativity and growth. You’ll work closely with a highly collaborative marketing and corporate affairs team that values initiative, impact and getting stuck in.

What’s involved:

  • Bring Bunnings sponsorships to life by leading integrated, multi‑channel marketing and leverage plans aligned to business priorities
  • Partner closely with the Marketing teams to support contract negotiations, renewals and long‑term partnership strategy
  • Translate contractual obligations into engaging, audience‑relevant activations that deliver commercial and brand outcomes
  • Lead the development and production of sponsorship assets, ensuring consistent messaging and strong creative execution
  • Brief and collaborate with creative, media and sponsorship agencies to deliver standout campaigns
  • Activate media and contra partnerships in ways that maximise value and reach
  • Plan and deliver events, activations and ambassador activity aligned to key partnerships
  • Build strong working relationships across the store network, understanding what matters locally and how partnerships can support stores and communities
  • Manage sponsorship, production and media budgets with confidence, tracking spend and reporting against clear KPIs

Who we're looking for

You’re a sponsorship professional who enjoys both the strategic and hands‑on sides of the role. You’re comfortable juggling multiple priorities and stakeholders, and you know how to bring people along with you, whether that’s agency partners, internal teams or community organisations.

You thrive in collaborative environments and value working cross‑functionally to get the best outcome. You’re curious, commercially minded and not afraid to challenge the norm to do things better. Just as importantly, you enjoy supporting others to grow, creating a positive, inclusive team environment where ideas are shared and backed.

You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years’ experience in sponsorship or a related field (client‑side, agency or rights‑holder)
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sponsorship leverage and integrated marketing campaigns
  • Confidence managing agencies across creative, media and sponsorship
  • Experience negotiating partnerships and supporting contract execution
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across marketing, community and corporate teams
  • Budget management experience with a clear focus on outcomes and accountability
  • A background in marketing, communications or equivalent practical experience

You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
