Job Responsibilities:
Head of Product builds and scales Welocalize’s platform and products, working closely with our Sales, Operations, and Engineering teams to support the organization’s strategic growth and OKRs. Through a data-focused approach, Head of Product ensures each initiative on our product roadmap delivers a meaningful impact to our business and users.
As Head of Product, you will lead the functional areas of Product Management, Product Analytics, Product Marketing, and Technical Business Analyst. You will work with the Engineering as well as business and operations stakeholders to support the organization’s growth.
Key job responsibilities
- Set the product strategy and vision for a portfolio of products.
- Propose and drive bold new innovations that enable great new project manager/customer/Vendor experiences.
- Own the 6/12/24 month roadmap, driving prioritization and trade-off decisions within and outside of the team - Represent product with Senior Leadership and other prioritization stakeholders.
- Provide thought leadership, strategic insight, and clear communication (written and verbal) to your team and the rest of the organization on your product’s strategy and roadmap.
- Track progress, assess risks, coordinate delivery, and actively communicate contingency and mitigation plans for the team.
- Guide the prioritization of initiatives as the team scales.
- Lead and grow a team of amazing Product Managers, helping them do the best work of their careers.
- Help drive the Product Management practice and culture, both in how we work and the design of the organization.
- Lead and define the UX strategy and function.
- Lead and own Product Marketing Strategy and implementation plan. To include developing annual goals.
- Work cross-functionally with other teams such as Executives, Operations, Talent, and Sales to make sure their objectives are met, opinions are considered, and plans communicated.
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements, features, and end products.
- Build a world -class Product organization, ensure you challenging and developing your team members to be high achievers and strong contributors throughout the organization.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of experience with demonstrated ability to launch product features
- Experience working directly with technical teams in an agile software development environment
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives
- Ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences and influence outside technical teams
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
- Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to influence through writing
- Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and across time zones
- Be humble, willing to learn, and do whatever is needed to help us accomplish our goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA preferred
- 8+ years of product development experience in e-commerce
- Strong product management skills: proven track record of launching complicated product features by collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong business acumen
- Strong analytics
- Extreme curiosity and appetite for learning and growth
