This position suits individuals who have experience in large-scale software development (possibly using TCL, Python, or other scripting languages) and are eager to broaden their horizons by exploring areas such as design rule automation, electrical analysis, and system optimization in their next career step.
Pegasus PERC is Cadence’s next-generation verification platform that combines logical, geometrical, and electrical checks to ensure the reliability of the world’s most advanced chips. Your role will involve developing and maintaining ESD-related design rule files for foundries and IC design houses using TCL, solving problems through electrical analysis to improve product accuracy, and collaborating closely with global R&D teams and local foundries.
Your First Mission:
You will start by validating the tool on real customer cases. We will guide you through best-known methodologies under different problem scenarios. From there, you will develop in-depth knowledge of Pegasus’ verification flow, learn how rules interact with electrical checks, and gradually build your own troubleshooting style by identifying the most critical evidence.
What You Will Do:
-Develop and maintain ESD-related design rule files for foundries and IC design houses using TCL
-Solve problems through electrical analysis and improve product accuracy
-Automate workflows using Python or other programming languages
-Participate in large-scale software development projects, focusing on infrastructure, program flow, and performance optimization
-Communicate effectively with global R&D teams and local foundries to deliver robust technical solutions
What We Expect in the Next 3 Years:
-Gain a bird’s-eye view of Pegasus PERC and understand its program flow
-Build strong communication channels with colleagues across different teams and regions
-Make an impact by sharing your technical knowledge and driving process improvements
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
-Proficiency in TCL/Python or other scripting languages
-Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
-Excellent communication skills for cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration
Preferred Skills:
-Experience with Python or other automation tools
-Familiarity with ESD protection design or foundry design rules
-Knowledge of EDA tools and large-scale software development
