Description
- Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems.
- Assist in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on simulators and associated systems.
- Perform pre‑flight and post‑flight tasks on designated simulators.
- Perform basic visual alignments.
- Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
- Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
- Complete all designated training activities.
- Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
- Learn and comply with CAE’s Quality Management System.
- Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
- Perform logistics duties, including parts receiving, repair, testing, and validation.
- Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.
- Perform all required administrative tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2‑year technical degree or equivalent related training.
- 0–2 years of direct simulator experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics.
- Knowledge of analog and digital theory.
- Basic skills in operating test equipment.
- Basic soldering and circuit‑board repair skills.
- Working knowledge of PCs and MS Office tools/suite.
- Strong motivation for customer support and attention to detail.
Location and Pay
- Location: Primary work location is the Whippany, New Jersey Training Facility; minimal travel (<10%) may be required.
- Pay rate: $32.00 per hour; shift differential may apply depending on assignment. Compensation rate may vary based on experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market.
