Technician I – Technical Services

 

 

Essential Job Functions

·         Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems. 

·         Assist in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems. 

·         Perform pre-flight and post flight tasks on designated simulators. 

·         Perform basic visual alignments. 

·         Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG). 

·         Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities. 

·         Complete all designated training activities. 

·         Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.

·         Learn and comply with CAE quality management system.

·         Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner. 

·         Perform logistics duties, including parts received, repair, and testing/validation.

·         Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required. 

·         Perform all administrative tasks as required. 

 

 

Education & Experience Requirements

·         2-year technical degree or equivalent related training

·         1 year of simulator related experience in (electronics/avionics, automated systems, or computer networking repair and troubleshooting)

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·         Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics

·         Knowledge of analog and digital theory

·         Basic skills in the operation of test equipment

·         Basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair

·         Some knowledge of PCs and MS-Office tools and suite

·         Motivated in customer support and attention to detail.

 

 

Working Conditions

·          Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time up to 8-10 hours per day.

·         Ability to pick up 50 lbs. or more.

·         Stooping, squatting may be required.

·         Able to repair equipment in various space.

 

 

Location

·         The primary work location for this position is at the Dallas Training Facility in Dallas, Texas

·         Minimal travel may be required (less than 10%).
