SIMULATIONS & PRODUCT DEV. SPECIALIST - PL

Team Overview & Role Purpose:

We are looking for a Simulations & Product Development Engineer to join our Engineering team.

Based in Cariacica, Brazil, and reporting to the Simulations and Engineering Services Manager, you will actively contribute to projects, product development, and tender (BID) phases, supporting the design and validation of complex offshore products in compliance with internal guidelines, international standards, and customer requirements.

This role offers strong exposure to advanced simulation activities, customer interaction, and technical development within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform local, dynamic, and FEA simulations during project execution, product development, and tender phases.
• Define, discuss, and validate simulation methodologies and technical solutions for products and associated ancillaries.
• Prepare and issue technical reports and actively participate in technical meetings with internal teams and customers.
• Interface with internal departments and clients to support technical discussions and engineering decisions.
• Develop and improve engineering tools and technical solutions applicable to products and systems.
• Perform correlation between experimental test results and analytical / numerical methodologies.
• Contribute to technical articles, papers, and participation in technical forums.
• Review and apply international standards and client specifications.
• Support and cooperate with the team in technical document reviews.
• Lead or support technical solutions for new product design and definition.
• Assist the manager in task delegation and activity control.
• Lead and participate in internal and external technical meetings, in Portuguese and English.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a motivated engineer with the following profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering activities related to Oil & Gas.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical or Computational Engineering is a strong differential.
• Previous experience with simulations and development of Umbilicals.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, project‑oriented environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Advanced English (written and spoken).
