Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring Shipside Operations Specialists (Level 3) to support the Line Side Control Centers (LSCC) in Auburn, WA. This position is for 1st and 2nd shift and will be determined at the time of offer.

As a Shipside Operations Specialist, you will collaborate cross-functionally to identify, investigate, and develop countermeasures to drive improvement projects in production. As a member of this team, you will continuously develop and manage the structure to enable the pace and performance of the Line Side Control Center teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Uses technical knowledge, understanding of process flow, and networking skills to ensure issues are addressed and resolved by responsible support organization

  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria

  • Analyzes and interprets data

  • Provides feedback on assessment results

  • Assists organizations in identifying recurring and high impact issues

  • Supports root cause analysis and corrective action plans to address recurring and high impact issues

  • Facilitates ongoing coordination and tracking of open items

  • Provides guidance and coaching to less experienced teammates

  • Works under general direction

  • Supports teammates and managers in implementation of strategies and plans

  • Supports and facilitates complex and high visibility process improvement efforts

  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes

  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans

  • Develops, coordinates and assesses architecture of meeting content and leadership briefings

  • Maintains and tracks training requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidates will be required to work onsite in Auburn, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in an Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing Environment

  • 3+ years of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • 3+ years of experience communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers, peers, other employees, and all levels of leadership

  • 1+ years of experience in Data Analysis

  • 1+ years of experience working in operations analysis or operations research

  • 1+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience working with the Boeing Problem Solving Model

  • Basic understanding of the One Boeing Production System (BPS) standards

Shift: This position is for 1st and 2nd shift and will be determined at the time of offer.

Summary Pay Range for Experienced (Level 3): $83,300 - $112,700
