Job Summary

Direct the Warehousing activities, consisting of Receiving, Logistics, and Shipping.

Essential Functions
  • Establish and maintain the operational procedures governing the daily activities of the Shipping and Warehouse team.
  • Through direct supervision and use of lead personnel, manage the receiving, warehousing, internal distribution, and shipping of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Ensure all system (Oracle) transactions are completed in a timely manner with accuracy.
  • Regularly confer with the Supply Chain Manager, Purchasing and Manufacturing department heads to ensure that all required materials are being received and distributed in a timely manner.
  • Initiate direct action to correct deficiencies and support manufacturing efforts.
  • Reports issues or challenges to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Ensure subordinate personnel are properly trained and capable of performing their assigned duties in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
  • Monitor work areas to ensure areas are properly maintained, safety equipment is being utilized and required maintenance is being performed on equipment.
  • Monitor teams’ performance by verify transactions and receipts using ERP system.
  • Provide direction and supervision to all Shipping and Warehouse personnel either directly or through lead personnel.
  • Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Monitor and appraise performance; recommend recognition, rewards as well as disciplinary actions for employees; address issues and resolve problems, complaints and/or concerns.
  • Coordinate activities related to investigations of Customer complaints regarding shipments processed by ZOLL RI. Communicate the outcome of those investigations to management.
  • In support of the Supply Chain Manager, engage in preparation of development plans for employees encouraging their growth as a member of the ZOLL team.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in a safe, effective, efficient manner and that the shipping and warehouse departments are maintained in a neat, orderly fashion.
  • Monitor and manage teams’ performance by monitoring, auditing and verifying work including but not limited to transactions using ERP system.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma required
  • 4-6 years Related experience required
  • 1-3 years Supervisor experience required
  • Previous leadership experience required
  • Forklift operation and other material handling equipment required
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment. Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience in using Oracle business systems is preferred.
  • Experience with “Ship Exec” software or related software is required.
  • Positive, professional, and enthusiastic, “Can Do” attitude/approach to work.

Preferred Languages
  • English - Advanced

Travel Requirements
  • 5% Multi-Site support across ZOLL sites within same state.

The annual salary for this position is:

$80,000.00 to $125,000.00

This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
