  • Estimated annual base pay:

  • Level 2 $19.71(minimum) - $25.48(midpoint) - $31.73(maximum) Plus overtime

  • Level 3 $22.60(minimum) - $29.33(midpoint) - $36.06 (maximum) Plus overtime

Key Responsibilities:

Level 2

  • Shipment Coordination: The Shipping/Receiving Specialist II coordinates and schedules inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.

  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare, verify, and maintain all necessary shipping, receiving, logistics documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

  • Issue Resolution and Communication: The specialist identifies and resolves any discrepancies or issues related to shipping, receiving, logistics and communicates effectively with internal teams and external partners to facilitate operational excellence.

  • Cross Training Activities and Certifications: Ensure all training records are maintained. Cross train and certify in applicable logistics functions such as shipping, receiving, and stockroom departments.

  • Process Improvements and Mentoring: Assist with training of uncertified Logistics members. Contribute to team and process improvements.

Level 3

  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate and schedule shipments and deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient transportation and handling of goods.

  • Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality, resolving any discrepancies or issues.

  • Systems Administration: Utilize and manage inventory and logistics software systems to track shipments and generate reports.

  • Team Leadership: Mentor logistics staff, providing guidance and training as needed.

  • Cross Training Activities and Certifications: Ensure all training records are maintained. Cross train and certify in multiple logistics functions such as shipping, receiving, and stockroom departments.

  • Shipping Software Proficiency: Utilizes shipping and inventory management software to track shipments, manage orders, and update records accurately.

  • Communication Skills: Effectively communicates with stakeholders such as team members, suppliers, and customers to coordinate logistics, shipping and receiving activities.

  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves issues related to shipment delays, inventory discrepancies, and logistical challenges promptly.

  • Organizational Skills: Keeps the logistics, shipping and receiving areas organized and orderly to facilitate effective operations and safe work environment.

  • Safety Compliance: Adheres to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues.

  • Knowledge of Business Systems: Proficiently operates software applications specific to logistics, shipping, and receiving to streamline processes and improve accuracy.

  • Members must be certified in multiple functions within the logistics department functional areas: These may vary by site. Most include shipping, receiving, order picking, material handling, stocking, final gate, and kitting.

  • Standard Work Activities: Advanced understanding of business expectations and department standard work.

Level 3:

  • Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Operates as point of contact for department escalations and troubleshooting activities within the department and with internal stakeholders. Quickly identifies and resolves discrepancies or issues related to shipments and inventory, implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences and maintain workflow continuity.

  • Documentation and Recordkeeping: Accurately prepares and manages all necessary shipment and product documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Communication Skills: Effectively communicates with customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to coordinate shipments, resolve issues, and provide updates on the status of goods in transit.

  • Knowledge of Shipping Regulations: Possesses a thorough understanding of local, national, and international shipping regulations and standards to ensure all shipments comply with legal and safety requirements.

  • Time Management: Effectively prioritizes tasks and manages time to handle multiple shipments and Logistics activities simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.

  • Attention to Detail: Maintains a high level of accuracy when processing shipments and receipts, meticulously checking for errors or discrepancies to ensure the integrity of inventory records.

  • Software Proficiency: Utilizes business systems and other relevant software applications proficiently to manage shipping and receiving operations, track inventory, and generate reports. Advanced knowledge of 4PL receiving processes.

  • Team Collaboration: Works collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to facilitate smooth shipping and receiving processes, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

  • Members must be certified in at least 10 functional areas within the logistics department's areas: These functional areas may vary by site. Most include shipping, receiving, order picking, material handling, stocking, kitting, and Final gate.

  • Advanced knowledge of Logistics Software: Expert level knowledge of business systems and software applications use specific to shipping, receiving, and picking of product to streamline processes and improve accuracy to the customer.
