Position Overview: General Ledger Accounting responsibilities for PGFAM Shared Service Center and related functions
Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Accounting for entities in Brazil, Mexico, United States and Canada
- Completes various tasks related to month end closing and year end closing.
- Reconciles general ledger accounts related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Become knowledgeable of the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, to be a periodic backup as needed. May assist in training others.
Preferred Education/Experience:
- BS Degree in Business—Finance, Accounting and or Tax preferred. 0-5 years in an accounting or finance role is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of General Accounting, GAAP, and Internal Control compliance. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing internal and external customer services.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas clearly. Ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and create a dynamic work environment that fosters teamwork
- Highly proficient, results oriented, core accounting knowledge as demonstrated thru progressive job or project responsibilities. Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges
- Ability to establish and maintain personally challenging achievement goals and exerting effort toward mastering tasks. Ability to effectively move the SSC in a positive direction and implement new policies and procedures as needed
- 20% Travel required to service the entities in Brazil, Mexico and the US. Fluent in English, additional language beneficial (Spanish/Portuguese preferred).
