Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an In-Silo Instrumentation Manager 2 to join its team of diverse professionals in support of the Sentinel program. This position will be located in Roy, Utah.

What you will get to do:

The In-Silo Instrumentation Manager supports the System Test Team and is responsible for planning, developing/designing, integrating, and deployment of in instrumentation system to capture In-Silo Instrumentation requirements. The candidate will work within the program to ensure that requirements are captured, use of Model Based System Engineering methods and software tools. The candidate will lead a team in creating an In-Silo Instrumentation capability that will cover a wide range of instrumentation needs. The candidate will work with System Engineering to refine test methodologies required for verification and validation of system level requirements. Other areas of responsibility will include oversight of any contractual documentation, ensuring alignment to system test philosophies and adherence to program and security requirements.

  • Overseeing all In-Silo Instrumentation operations to ensure the successful development of In-Silo Instrumentation capabilities.

  • Developing standardized processes, policies, and procedures (to the extent possible) for the In-Silo Instrumentation, including configuration control of all software tools.

  • Manage all In-Silo Instrumentation activities and enhancements from cradle to grave, this will include developing requirements, project planning, managing cost/schedule, and ensuring technical objectives are met.

  • Ensuring the In-Silo Instrumentation are maintained in accordance with Northrop Grumman processes and are ready for testing to support a dynamic test schedule.

  • Working with program leadership to assess issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and program cost/schedule objectives as well as developing and maintaining metrics for monitoring the team's progress.

  • Managing cost accounts associated with assigned statement of work.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 8 years of related work experience: or Masters and 6 years of related experience.

  • Prior experience in testing environments or with test execution efforts

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • At least 1 year of demonstrated work experience leading a project or driving performance against a schedule

  • Active Top Secret DoD Clearance and ability to obtain an SCI clearance

  • Proficient in using CAMEO software

  • Familiarity with Integration and Test Principles and best practices

  • Demonstrated ability to lead/manage a project including task development, scheduling, tracking, reporting status

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Proven capable of being organized, efficient, and handling multiple tasks while paying attention to detail

  • Excellent written and oral communication as candidate will be expected to prepare briefings for leadership

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,600.00 - $189,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
