The Allrecipes Visuals team is looking for a highly creative, detail oriented, proven Senior Visual Editor to work closely with our Associate Creative Director and editorial leads to produce high quality, brand aligned visuals. In this role you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to create elevated visuals and help maintain scalable processes that support the team’s content goals, our visual strategy, and engage and delight our audiences. The ideal candidate is highly creative, operationally strong, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
In this role you will:
Be a creative leader- taking end to end ownership of assigned projects, following established processes and workflows to ensure smooth production and delivery of branded creative assets. You’re a proven visual storyteller
Maintain fresh talent Sourcing: You have your finger on the pulse of emerging talent and resources, you manage outreach for required freelancers for a given project across a multitude of creative mediums; photography, video, illustration, and design.
Logistics & Execution: Manage on-set logistics, and communication with crews.
Budgeting: Maintain visuals budget goals and negotiate rates with freelancers across photo, illustration and design fields.
Production Collaboration: Work with Visuals Director and Editors to align with the brand’s visual identity and produce the best visuals for a given project.
Invest in your junior colleagues: you will help guide our junior team members to ensure we’re maintaining brand standards at all levels.
Hybrid 3x a week- (New York)
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
Remote-
In-office Expectations: This position is fully remote with no in-office requirements, (might require coming into an office 1 or 2x a year)
About The Positions Contributions:

70%: Visual Production
Lead visual production for feature content, end to end.
Cross-team communication and collaboration
Creative ideation and mood boarding
Pitching and maintaining visuals elements documents
Writing creative briefs, leading photo shoot direction and approvals
Retouching, post production, and final asset delivery.
Apply an awareness of diversity and representation when writing creative direction and making image selections.
Adhere to photo style guidelines to maintain an elevated at home look.
20%: Visuals Assignment Workflow
Process and delegate incoming visuals requests
Help identify and populate priority recipe assignments for our VAT and Studio workflows
Ensure processes and systems are being updated and managed to reflect current best practices and important cross team workflow details.
Support junior team members in the production of visuals assets when needed
10%: Visual Processes
You help keep the team working efficiently and effectively, identifying ways to improve or expand current workflows to keep up with our rapidly evolving work and goals.
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and experience
Experience:
5+ years as a photo editor, associate visuals editor for digital media or equivalent
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
Proven strong visual story telling skills
Strong editorial design skills
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
Self-motivated
Attention to detail is a must
Excellent communication skills
A team player ready to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $67,000.00 - $80,000.00 Remote: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
