Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) is seeking a senior specialist to support the Security Technology, Assessments, and Risk Compliance (STARC) team as part of Boeing Enterprise Security (BES).
The ideal candidate will be able to work within a complex and fast paced environment providing technical security solutions that primarily support physical security operations and services that protect people, property, products, and information. This individual must have strong project management, communication, and organizational skills to perform in a dynamic environment.
This position requires elevated security screenings, including credit checks, while employed and having access to sensitive information.
Position Responsibilities:
Identify and analyze computing requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
Consult with teams to determine system needs and specifications
Perform a wide range of technical activities across systems and applications
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and system components on multiple platforms
Plan and prepare software and hardware releases across the system
Ensure systems align with architectural objectives and standards
Evaluate complex systems for production readiness and ongoing supportability
Restore computing service operations, from routine to complex incidents
Integrate security solutions into information systems to ensure compliance and protection
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, and applications
Document system configurations, changes, and procedures for future reference
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and optimization
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in following a software development life cycle (i.e., application development & support)
5+ years of experience in software application installation and configuration
5+ years of experience in Operating Systems: Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, and Oracle Enterprise Linux
5+ years of experience performing complex systems engineering or system integration work
5+ years of experience in working with agile teams and agile software development
3+ years of experience in a cloud computing environment e.g. Azure/AWS/Google Cloud
Ability to support after-hours change windows and implementations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
Active government clearance (e.g., Secret, Top Secret)
CompTIA Security+ Certification
Microsoft Certifications such as Azure Administrator, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Certified Solutions Architect, or similar
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Docker)
Experience with Development Operations (DevOps) practices and tools (e.g., Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, configuration management)
Experience with monitoring and performance tuning of systems and applications
Experience with database management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data integration
Experience with analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating system readiness and resolving technical issues
Experience with communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
