Roles and Responsibilities:
This position focuses on ensuring high-quality software delivery through comprehensive manual testing within Agile environments. We are looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer with strong experience in designing, reviewing, and executing detailed test cases to validate functional and business requirements. The role leads testing activities, collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, and drives effective defect management and root-cause analysis.
- Design, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios based on business and functional requirements.
- Perform comprehensive manual functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Lead and coordinate testing activities within Agile delivery teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, ensuring clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring issues and recommend process or quality improvements.
- Review test artifacts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project standards.
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress, risks, and quality metrics during stand-ups and stakeholder meetings.
- Mentor junior testers and guide the team on best practices in manual testing and Agile methodologies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall testing efficiency and product quality.
Education and Experience Required:
- Typically, with 6-8 years relevant experience
- Proven experience in designing and reviewing test cases alongside manual functional testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Strong foundation on Agile testing lifecycle
- Attention-to-details
- Good communication skills; actively participate in meetings
- Able to lead a small test team
- Good reading comprehension and analytical skills
