This role is within the EDS segment, and you will be joining that segment as it becomes its own entity, with a rich heritage and proven track record as a global leader in low and high voltage power and signal distribution systems. Your Role:

As a Senior System Manager in the Advanced Architecture Team, you play a key role in shaping next‑generation E/E vehicle architectures. Your main objective is to define and optimize advanced E/E architectures and wiring harness concepts for future platforms, integrating:

  • architecture optimization
  • wiring harness improvements
  • deep expertise in electrical centers / power distribution boxes

You collaborate across functions and with customers to turn requirements and use cases into robust, scalable and cost‑efficient E/E solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive advanced E/E vehicle architecture as a core member of the Advanced Architecture Team.
  • Lead E/E architecture studies and wiring harness concepts from early concept to final recommendation.
  • Develop and compare architecture alternatives (e.g., domain/zonal) with clear trade‑offs in cost, weight and complexity.
  • Optimize E/E architecture and wiring harnesses for cost, weight, automation and robustness.
  • Apply up‑to‑date E/E architecture knowledge, including ECU hardware/software and electrical center (PDB) expertise.
  • Translate customer requirements into architecture concepts and system requirements.
  • Represent the team in customer workshops, identify pain points and derive improvement opportunities.
  • Analyse business cases and prepare clear recommendations.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation and management presentations.
  • Lead technical workshops, design reviews and internal/external meetings.

 Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in E/E system architecture and vehicle wiring harness development.
  • Proven hands‑on experience with electrical centers / power distribution boxes (PDBs, fuse/relay boxes, junction boxes, PDCs).
  • Solid understanding of ECU and system requirements and their impact on E/E architecture and wiring.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills focused on architecture optimization and wiring harness improvements.
  • Experience working in international, cross‑functional teams and participating in customer‑facing technical discussions (workshops, reviews, presentations).
  • Very good communication skills in English.
