An exciting opportunity is now available for Senior Supply Support Officer within the Hobart Class DDG Combat System Support Program (DCSSC). The position will be based in Garden Island, Sydney.

This position plays a crucial role in contributing to logistics support strategies and is pivotal in achieving the objectives of the Supply Chain, thereby significantly impacting overall deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and provide updates on LNIDS demands related to combat systems, ensuring timely processing by collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage obsolescence by coordinating with suppliers regarding associated OQE’s, exploring replacement options, handling end-of-life purchases, and initiating obsolescence cases.
  • Utilize replenishment forecasting tools, such as the Advanced Inventory Management System (AIMS), to assess stock requirements and place orders through the Defence ERP system.
  • Supervise the calibration of test equipment by initiating RFQs and generating purchase orders via Raytheon ERP for calibration services.
  • Oversee warehouse and stores management, which includes the organization of storage, stock control, accounting, packaging, handling, and transportation of supply items.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Supply Chain (Procurement, Material Logistics) or demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in computer systems is essential, particularly with Defence inventory management platforms such as SAP – S4 HANA, AIMS, and NAVALLOW.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in advanced supply chain operations.
  • Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Level 1 (NV1) Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at the following link. Eligibility and suitability | Australian Government Security Vetting Agency
