Senior Student Experience Officer

About This Opportunity 

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Senior Student Experience Officer to lead the planning and delivery of initiatives within the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology (EAIT) that enhance the student experience and encourage engagement beyond the classroom.

Working with academic and professional staff, you will develop activities and opportunities that support students’ personal, professional, and social development, helping to create a vibrant and connected faculty community.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaboratively develop processes and guidelines to support engagement with identified student cohorts within the Faculty.

  • Plan and implement student engagement activities that address gaps and strategic priorities.

  • Develop and deliver student support resources tailored to the needs of identified cohorts.

  • Implement processes that encourage broad student participation in faculty engagement initiatives.

  • Oversee the development and coordination of student leadership and volunteer programs.

  • Contribute to orientation activities for commencing students.

  • Write, edit, and distribute communications and resources for commencing and current students.

  • Monitor and report on student experience initiatives and activities and participate in relevant committees and other duties as directed by the Manager, Student Experience.

About You

  • Completion of a relevant undergraduate degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

  • Proven analytical, planning, organisational and project management skills.

  • Proven high level written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to compile information and write reports for a variety of audiences.

  • Proven ability to produce content for publication that is of a professional standard.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to communicate and network with a wide range of internal stakeholders, to develop and support relationships and work effectively with a diverse range of project stakeholders.

  • High level of computer literacy, including ability to extract and manipulate data using multiple databases and software packages.

  • Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team to achieve identified goals.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and meet competing deadlines.
