Enhancing our global commerce product portal (Simpson Strong-Tie | Homepage (strongtie.com)) and customer portal (Login | SST B2B Site (strongtie.com)) with both frontend and backend solutions to meet and expand our B2B customer's needs.
· Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Java and related technologies.
· Build responsive and intuitive frontend interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
· Proactively work to analyze and resolve both frontend and backend production problems in a timely manner.
· Take lead and ownership of full-stack code produced, making sure it follows coding conventions and modern development best practices for both frontend and backend.
· Collaborate with IT analysts, business analysts, project managers, architects, UX/UI designers, and other developers to ensure the right full-stack solutions are built and delivered on time.
· Work with the user experience team to ensure great customer experience through seamless frontend-backend integration.
· Keep current with latest full-stack technologies, frameworks, and web technologies.
· Perform code peer reviews and approve pull requests for both frontend and backend code raised by others.
· Work in a fast-paced, Agile/Scrum engineering environment delivering incremental software with high quality.
· Integrate with enterprise commerce platforms and content management systems.

Frontend Development
· Hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript. · Minimum 5 years of experience building modern frontend applications (React,...).
· Solid understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
· Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS, and modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap).
· Understanding of frontend architectural patterns and component-based architecture.

Backend Development
· Hands-on experience with Java development from version 8 and Java frameworks such as Spring Boot or demonstrate a strong willingness to learn
· Knowledge of RESTful API design and development, and GraphQL.
· Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (JPA/Hibernate).
· Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
· Experience with SAP Hybris Commerce (now SAP Commerce Cloud) is a plus
Testing & Quality
· Experience in writing unit and integration tests for both backend and frontend
· Experience with API testing tools and practices.
DevOps & Tools
· Proficient in using Git for version control.
· Experience with cloud platform (Azure).
Additional Skills
· Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for both frontend and backend.
· Understanding of security best practices for web applications (top 10 OSWAP).
