Monitors the flow of material through the manufacture/test process and final inspection.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performs data pack and shipping document review. Reviews inspection/test failure and rejection reports to identify project failure trends and provides recommendations for corrective action. Inspection of machined or welded parts, PCB’s, related hardware, fabrication and assemblies within a marine defense manufacturing environment. Assists Quality Engineering and Quality Inspection in the development of inspection plans. Provides assistance to inspection personnel in the identification and resolution of problems encountered during hardware flow to ensure acceptable quality levels are maintained. May perform actual inspection (including NDT) when required. Performs system and process audits. Perform NDT using methods to examine material or systems without impairing its future usefulness. Proficient in the interpretation of complex engineering drawings, schematics and process plans.
