Job Description

Motorola Solutions (MSI) is seeking a Senior Quality Manager to support our Systems Staging and ASTRO Upgrade Operations organizations. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, reliability, compliance, and capability of our staged system and system upgrade processes.

Scope of Role

  • Strategy: Define and execute a quality strategy across the staging and upgrade lifecycle, from initial system configuration to field deployment.

  • Operations: Drive systemic improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs) related to system reliability and on time delivery.

  • Collaboration: Partner with Product Development (HW/SW), Manufacturing, and Customer Service to ensure end-to-end quality and seamless system transitions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Process Quality:  Enforcement of staging processes and verifying process capability. Ensure design excellence principles are executed to guarantee high yield and minimize field failures.

  • Lifecycle Performance: Ensure downstream impact from staged system deployments and ASTRO upgrades are analyzed and translated into applicable product and process improvements.

  • Compliance & Governance: Manage internal audit programs to ensure all operations adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001 standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Issue Resolution: Lead root cause analysis and execute corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues identified during staging or field upgrades.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of operational excellence using data analysis and quality tools to eliminate waste and improve system capability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical background with mandatory expertise in DFMEA, DOE, and Quality Tools (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, CAPA).

  • Data Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as EazyBI and Tableau, as well as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

  • Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt, ASQ Certified Manager of Quality (CMQ), or ASQ Certified Quality Auditor preferred.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to define strategic roadmaps, drive organizational change, and present complex technical strategies to leadership.

Target Base Salary Range: $90,000  - $135,000 

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
• At least 4+ years of experience in either product development or manufacturing.
