Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4) to join our dynamic team in Daytona Beach, Florida.

This is a unique opportunity to support a brand-new Boeing facility in its early stages as well as cross‑functional transition activities ensuring projects are executed to Boeing PMBP standards and aligned with site and program strategies. This role reports directly to the Daytona Beach Site Executive and partners with site functions (IT, GREF, Security, Engineering, etc.) to execute site operating and growth strategies, develop and implement integrated transition and operating plans, drive process improvements, manage on‑site integration, and maintain financial and operational oversight. The ideal candidate is a results‑oriented problem solver with strong program management and organization skills, excellent stakeholder engagement, and the ability to influence outcomes across multiple functions without direct line authority.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage special projects and transitions using Boeing PM best practices to deliver on objectives.
  • Create, maintain, and execute integrated transition and operating plans, policies, and procedures for special projects.
  • Coordinate multi‑functional teams across engineering, operations, suppliers, and stakeholders to execute critical transition activities and swim‑lane operations.
  • Act as on‑site liaison for GREF integration and other site cross‑functional activities, making operational decisions and coordinating vendors and maintenance.
  • Define, document, and benchmark site processes and standards; promote adoption of best practices across the site.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with internal customers, community leaders, industry partners, and other key stakeholders to support program delivery.
  • Track site financials to maintain budget visibility and alignment with program affordability priorities.
  • Facilitate the operating rhythm by preparing agendas, maintaining status artifacts, coordinating meetings, and ensuring timely escalation and follow‑through.
  • Support local culture and engagement initiatives that align with the site strategy (team events, volunteering, and community outreach).

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is first shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience leading through influence and partnering with cross‑functional teams to plan and execute projects, transitions, or process improvements.
  • 3+ years’ experience coordinating and engaging multiple internal and external stakeholders (e.g., business partners, customers, Finance, suppliers) to achieve project objectives.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing or leading projects that required cross‑functional or cross‑business‑unit collaboration, including developing and executing integrated plans, schedules, and risk mitigations.
  • 3+ years’ experience advising and influencing managers and individual contributors to resolve technical or operational issues and meet program schedules.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Prior team lead, or formal leadership experience in project or program settings.
  • Experience with financial tracking, reporting, and budget administration (including overhead pool or similar allocation processes).
  • Direct experience interacting with IT, Cybersecurity, Security, GREF, or related site functions in a cross‑functional environment.
  • Knowledge and/or experience operating in classified/secure environments
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Current US Secret Clearance

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $105,400 - $130,200
