Job Summary
This is an Oklahoma City–based engineering position responsible for providing technical support to the Anadarko Basin Production Operations team. The Senior Production Engineer works closely with field leadership, production engineering staff, and the asset team to troubleshoot issues, identify and execute opportunities to improve production, and review expenditures to reduce costs, with the goal of achieving high standards in financial, operational, safety, and environmental performance. The role provides technical guidance on artificial lift, facilities, workovers, and well interventions while aligning decisions with Anadarko and corporate strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to production operations and the asset team.
- Monitor area operations, costs, and profitability; review LOE and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
- Generate/review AFEs for facilities, workovers, and regulatory work.
- Diagnose downhole and surface equipment issues and recommend interventions/design changes.
- Develop plans for artificial lift, facilities, pipelines, utilities, and chemical treatment.
- Analyze well performance and recommend optimization/workovers.
- Work with facilities, SCADA, I&E, measurement to improve facility design and performance.
- Support/lead HSE incident investigations, ensure regulatory and policy compliance, and provide regulatory testimony when needed.

Skills and Competencies
- Technical / Analytical
- Strong proficiency in production engineering fundamentals, including nodal analysis, artificial lift design/optimization, and wellbore/flow assurance analysis.
- Ability to perform economic analysis and justification for projects (workovers, recompletions, facilities, artificial lift changes).
- Proficient computer and data analysis skills; advanced user of Excel, Spotfire, and ARIES or equivalent tools for forecasting and economics.

- Strong understanding of Anadarko Basin production operations, constraints, and development strategies, with the ability to translate basin‑level strategy into well‑level actions.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of five (5) years related experience in oil and gas production, with meaningful exposure to onshore unconventional operations.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
- Ability to pass respiratory fit test (if applicable).
- Ability to travel to Anadarko Basin operating areas based on business needs.
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Anadarko Basin production operations or similar mixed oil/gas unconventional plays.
- Experience leading cross‑functional projects or mentoring junior engineers.
- Proficiency with Spotfire, Wellview, Rodstar, XSPOC, Cygnet, and ARIES or similar tools used for Anadarko production and surveillance workflows.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
