Role Description
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Production Analyst Developer to join our Production Support function in Pune. This is a hands‑on, code‑focused role for engineers who enjoy working close to live systems and taking ownership of real production issues.
You’ll operate as a developer within the support organisation—investigating live incidents, debugging applications at code and data level, fixing defects, delivering small enhancements, and ensuring solutions are robust through proper testing. From root cause analysis through to implementation and validation, you’ll own issues end‑to‑end while working closely with Production Support Analysts and other developers to improve platform stability and resilience.
What You’ll Do:
Investigate and resolve production issues through code‑level debugging, log analysis, workflow tracing, and SQL data analysis
Identify root causes of recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes via code or configuration changes
Deliver fixes end‑to‑end, including implementation, validation, and regression testing
Write and maintain unit tests to ensure solution quality and prevent regressions
Design and build small automations, scripts, or tooling to reduce manual operational effort
Provide specialist technical support during major incidents and act as an escalation point for complex issues
Partner with Production Support Analysts to improve runbooks, SOPs, and recovery procedures
Contribute to improvements in platform stability, performance, monitoring, and operational readiness
Ensure all changes meet security, audit, quality, and operational standards
Experience required
What we are looking for:
Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming with hands‑on experience debugging production systems
Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyze data and support root‑cause investigations
Proven experience fixing defects and delivering small application enhancements
Experience implementing fixes and performing functional and regression testing
Experience writing and maintaining unit test cases
Understanding of application architectures, APIs, background jobs, and service‑based systems
Working knowledge of Git (branching, commits, pull requests)
Familiarity with Microsoft‑based technologies such as C#, ASP.NET /.NET Core, MVC, VB.NET, and MS SQL Server
5-9 years’ experience in software development, production support development, or application support engineering roles.
Experience preferred
Nice to Have (Not Essential):
Exposure to monitoring or log‑analysis tools such as Splunk, New Relic, PagerDuty, or ServiceNow
Experience using development and debugging tools like Visual Studio
Basic understanding of financial services or investment platforms
Experience contributing to knowledge bases or operational documentation
