Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Connected Device Solutions (New Growth Segments) who will drive the strategic direction and execution for Geotab’s expansion by researching, evaluating, and developing new growth segments for connected device solutions. This role is responsible for identifying and scaling end-to-end products in emerging areas such as supply chain & logistics, smart trailer ecosystems and small asset tracking. If you love technology, and are keen to join an industry leader — we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

As a Senior Product Manager, Connected Device Solutions (New Growth Segments), your key area of responsibility will be identifying and scaling end-to-end products in emerging areas, managing prioritization frameworks that balance hardware development cycles with SaaS-based monitoring platforms, and designing feedback loops to ensure solutions meet rigorous physical and data requirements. You will need to work closely with senior leadership, hardware engineering, software development, UX, and commercial teams.

To be successful in this role you will be an entrepreneurial self-starter who is comfortable operating in "white space" to build new product lines from the ground up, with a deep technical curiosity in IoT. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize disparate data points from hardware performance and user behavior to drive product improvements and influence across a flat, fast-moving organization.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Identify and research new growth segments, determining the infrastructure and device solutions required to unlock new revenue streams across the supply chain and logistics landscape.
  • Lead high-impact customer discovery to uncover "jobs to be done" within potential growth areas.
  • Define and manage prioritization frameworks that balance the nuances of hardware development cycles with the rapid iteration of SaaS-based monitoring platforms.
  • Design and implement feedback loops at scale to ensure new solutions meet the rigorous physical and data requirements of cargo carrying and complex supply chain environments.
  • Communicate the "Why" behind new growth segment strategies at senior leadership forums, ensuring alignment between hardware engineering, software development, and commercial teams.
  • Oversee the translation of validated needs into detailed epics and technical requirements, collaborating with UX, engineering, and project management to drive products from discovery to launch.
  • Mentor other product managers and contribute to the evolution of product management frameworks, fostering a culture of rigorous discovery and validation across the organization.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 8–10 years of experience in Product Management, ideally spanning both hardware and SaaS environments.
  • Proven track record of launching IoT or connected device solutions.
  • Post-Secondary specialization in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) applications, mesh networking, or proximity-based tracking is a distinct advantage.
  • Deep understanding of the hardware lifecycle, specifically regarding connected devices and sensor integration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence across a global organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including international travel to visit customer sites or partner facilities.
If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role! Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
