Job Summary: This vacancy is for a GS-2210-15, IT Cybersecurity Manager (PLCYPLN-INFOSEC) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, C5ISC BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIVISION in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as a IT Cybersecurity Manager (PLCYPLN-INFOSEC) and be responsible for leading the C5ISC's Service Strategy, Business Analysis, Business Process, and Measurement Management development and implementation programs. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Overseeing the development and maintenance of the office's Standard Operating Procedures and Governance Documents Coordinating the transition and implementation of the DCS System Lifecycle Business Model. Managing the central information repositories for various business functions and developing strategic level reporting metrics. Managing financial resources, and workforce to support C5I system lifecycle management. Managing performance support and improvement processes that directly improves workforce performance and accelerates impactful results. Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position. A. Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level I (FAC P/PM-I) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.

Qualifications: To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the federal or private sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Specialized experience must include the following: Developing and overseeing project management methods/concepts; and Developing strategic implementation/communications plans; and Managing and developing business processes; and Managing a program's budget and financial costs; and Evaluating workforce readiness and mitigating risks.
