Why is this role important

As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead design initiatives with significant impact and complexity across PC Financial mobile and web platforms, aiming to deliver customer and business outcomes that we can celebrate and learn from. You will be responsible for partnering with other product designers, product owners and tech leads focused on the Banking digital experiences. You’ll be customer-focused, utilizing research and data every day to uncover meaningful insights that inform your work. You will work in a collaborative environment with a fantastic culture, partnering with team members across the organization to contribute to the overall success of PC Financial, and our customers.

 
What you’ll do

  • Oversee and, conduct qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights about user behaviors, pain points, and motivations. Translate findings into actionable design strategies.
  • Develop journey maps, and scenario descriptions to inform design strategy and delivered actionable insights reports to drive user-centered solutions.
  • Employ a human-centered, iterative design-thinking process to understand user needs, frame problems, ideate solutions, prototype concepts, and test ideas to create meaningful and impactful experiences.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that ensure seamless, intuitive user experiences.
  • Test and iterate on designs based on user feedback to refine and validate solutions.
  • Develop high-fidelity UI designs and define interaction patterns, ensuring visual consistency and a cohesive brand experience.
  • Lead the cleanup and evolution of multiple design systems to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability. Conduct audits to identify gaps and recommend actionable improvements. Ensure
    micro-interaction and behavioural documentation is provided to support each component to improve development implementation.
  • Partner with digital product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to AODA guidelines and inclusive design best practices.
  • Mentor and provide constructive feedback to junior designers, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
  • Present and advocate for design strategies with impeccable communication skills, using solid rationale to influence key stakeholders.
  • Leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions, measure the impact of design work on KPIs, and iterate for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and methodologies to ensure cutting-edge design solutions.
  • Promote creativity, inclusivity, and collaboration aligned with PC Financials values.

What you bring:

  • 5-8+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing user-centered and data-driven solutions.
  • Deep expertise in design thinking methodologies, with proven experience applying it to solve complex challenges.
  • Strong UX and UI design skills, with proficiency in tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience conducting UX research (user interviews, usability testing, ethnography, etc.) and analyzing user data to inform designs.
  • Well-versed in Human-centric design methodology and conducting design thinking sessions.
  • Proven ability to create, maintain, and evolve design systems for scalability and consistency.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven mindset for interpreting metrics and user feedback.
  • Impeccable presentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and influence design decisions.
  • Knowledge of AODA compliance and inclusive design practices.
