Key Roles and Responsibilities

Product Design Leadership

• Design end-to-end user experiences for our battery observability platform, from fleet dashboards to predictive analytics interfaces
• Create intuitive data visualization solutions that transform complex battery metrics (SOH, RUL, thermal data) into actionable insights
• Lead the design of real-time alert systems and monitoring interfaces for fleet operators
• Develop executive-level dashboards that translate operational data into business intelligence

User Research & Strategy

• Conduct user research with fleet managers, operations teams, and C-suite executives at enterprise clients
• Map user journeys across different stakeholder groups (fleet operators, maintenance teams, executives)
• Define design strategies that balance technical complexity with usability for non-technical users
• Collaborate with clients like JBM Electric, Magenta Mobility, and international fleet operators to understand evolving needs

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility of designs while maintaining user experience quality
• Work closely with data scientists to visualize AI predictions and battery digital twin outputs effectively
• Collaborate with product management to align design decisions with business objectives and ROI metrics
• Support customer success teams with design documentation and training materials

Design System & Standards

• Establish and maintain a scalable design system for B2B SaaS platform consistency
• Create design patterns for complex data tables, charts, and real-time monitoring interfaces
• Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and work across diverse operational environments
• Document design decisions and maintain component libraries

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years of product design experience, with at least 3 years in B2B SaaS or enterprise software
• Proven track record designing complex data visualization and analytics platforms
• Experience with IoT, fleet management, automotive, or energy management systems preferred
• Portfolio demonstrating dashboard design and data-heavy interface solutions

Technical Skills

• Expert proficiency in Figma, with experience in advanced prototyping and design systems
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and tools (D3.js knowledge is a plus)
• Experience designing responsive web applications and mobile interfaces
• Familiarity with front-end development concepts to collaborate effectively with engineers

Domain Knowledge

• Understanding of enterprise software workflows and multi-stakeholder environments
• Experience with real-time monitoring systems or operational dashboards
• Knowledge of sustainability, clean tech, or automotive industries is highly valued
• Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts related to battery technology and fleet operations

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Skills

• Experience with predictive analytics or AI-powered platform interfaces
• Background in designing for regulated industries or safety-critical systems
• Knowledge of electric vehicle ecosystem and fleet management operations
• Experience with hardware-software integration (telematics, sensors)

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills to present designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical thinking to solve complex information architecture challenges
• Ability to balance user needs with business constraints and technical limitations
• Self-driven with ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
