Senior Portfolio Investment Analyst Lead

The HNWI Portfolio Analyst will build and analyze investment portfolios for high-net-worth individuals (HNWI). This role demands strong financial acumen, deep product knowledge, and proficiency in portfolio tools and databases. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the HNW space and demonstrate the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the US-based Portfolio Strategist in servicing the HNWI portfolios and learn the US investment landscape.

  • Review, verify, and input investment holding data into portfolio analytic tools to analyze current client/prospect portfolios.

  • Build and analyze investment portfolios tailored to HNWI clients.

  • Prepare detailed portfolio reports and client facing investment presentations.

  • Complete quarterly tasks to maintain the investment team’s operational readiness (e.g., update quarterly performance metrics, approved investment strategies lists, etc.)

  • Leverage Morningstar Direct and Preqin databases for research and analysis.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Monitor market trends and identify investment opportunities.

  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams and product partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial services industry, including 3-5 years in the HNW wealth management space.

  • Familiarity with Financial planning concepts and strong analytical and reporting skills.

  • Strong investment products knowledge or willingness to acquire it (critical for discussions and recommendations).

  • Experience with financial tools like Morningstar Direct, Preqin etc.

  • Detailed oriented with strong analytical skills.

  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written, to interact with team, business partners, advisors, and senior management.  

  • Ability to take direction and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Accounting

  • Preferred certifications (not mandatory): CFA and/or CFP and/or Series 7/63/66 and/or SIE, or progress towards.
