Head of Valuation Reporting

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:

We are looking for a hands-on professional with broad Trading Risk or Finance experience to lead the Valuation Reporting team. It concerns a central team (5 FTE), based in Amsterdam head office, that is globally responsible for

  • monthly fair and prudent valuation adjustment calculation, analysis and reporting
  • fair value hierarchy assessments, analysis and reporting
  • Day One P&L deferral assessment, reserving and reporting
  • Related booking processes, disclosures and COREP reporting
  • Preparation and coordination of submissions to Global Financial Markets Parameter Committee and Global Valuation & Impairment Committee and related senior management interactions
  • Related Sox control and operational risk frameworks
  • Continuous operational and functional improvement projects, in close collaboration with Valuation Methodology team and local Product Control teams.
  • Supporting Valuation Risk program and Front Office new product approval processes

As of April 2026, the role will report into the Center of Excellence Financial Markets within the WB Finance CFO FM tribe. The role deals with a broad range of international stakeholders on fair value positions in Financial Markets, Group Treasury, WB Lending. The position offers excellent development opportunities and exposure to a dynamic and agile international working environment across the bank, with a strong focus on Financial Markets and products, but also exposed to other areas with fair value books.  

Candidate Profile

Qualifications/Education

University degree in Finance/Economics/Econometrics or other science subjects.

Experience/Knowledge

  • 6 years+ of experience in Market Risk, Valuation or Product Control. Preferably with an understanding of IFRS Fair Value requirements and Prudent Valuation regulation.
  • Understanding the valuation and risks of financial markets products, preferably with experience in one or more business lines (Equity, FX, Credits, Interest Rates, Commodities, XVA).
  • Experience handling large datasets for analysis purposes and proficient Excel usage. Preferably with some programming experience using SQL, Python and/or VBA.
  • Experience in documenting & implementing methodology/modelling requirements in both tactical and strategic IT solutions.
  • Ability to engage and manage expectations of senior management and key stakeholders in large complex programs.
