Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for safety and quality minded Senior Manufacturing Managers (Level L) to lead parts of Boeing Commercial Airplane's 777 CI&R Line Team in Everett, Washington.

Lead implementation and optimization of the Boeing Production System into all CI&R build locations. The new Senior Leader will build and lead a cross-functional team in operationalizing and execution of all CI&R work locations. The scope of responsibility will be to integrate requirements (People, Parts, Paper, Process, Tooling/Capital, Facilities, etc.) to ensure Positional Readiness for Production to start per Master Schedule in each new position.  Sustaining responsibility will include scaffolding requirements coordination, 5S positional mapping and updates as requirements change, movement and coordination for shared tooling and equipment across positions and optimization of existing CI&R position as requirements change. 

Position will be responsible for managing Performance to Plan and implementing strategies to ensure employee and product safety, first pass quality and continuous improvement are imbedded into the culture to increase productivity and team morale. Position will develop strategic plans to support emergent requests, review and adjust implementation plans, resolve issues, and provide coaching, mentoring, and developmental opportunities to enhance teammate performance. Additionally, this role will promote employee engagement and cultivate an organizational culture that improves employee satisfaction and retains a skilled and motivated workforce.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Leads, develops, coaches, and motivates others, with a mindset of safety, first pass quality, excellence, and continuous improvement

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role leading teams, initiatives and projects to meet business objectives and influence change

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years experience coordinating site facilities and operations
  • 3+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives
  • 3+ years of experience in coaching, guiding and mentoring teams
  • 3+ years of experience in working to lead and develop teams to execute to safety, compliance, quality and cost
  • 3+ years of experience working within a cross-functional organizational environment

Shift:

This role is primarily first shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.
