As a Senior Manager – Verticals Partnership Development, you will take the lead in building deep partnerships and driving engagement with the intelligent connected vehicles industry, which is rapidly shaping the future of mobility and digital innovation in China.

About the Role
GSMA Greater China is seeking an innovative and energetic Senior Manager – Verticals Partnership Development to lead GSMA’s outreach and partnership development with a primary focus on the intelligent connected vehicles sector. This one-year contractor role is critical to expanding GSMA’s influence and partnerships in intelligent connected vehicles, which are at the forefront of China’s digital transformation and innovation.
The successful candidate will drive strategic engagement to convert key industry stakeholders into MWC Shanghai exhibitors, sponsors, and GSMA members, and contribute to the long-term roadmap for vertical industry collaboration and business growth.
Responsibilities:
Take the lead in GSMA’s outreach and engagement with the intelligent connected vehicles sector, identifying strategic opportunities and building impactful partnerships.
Build the intelligent connected vehicle community in Greater China.
Drive the conversion of intelligent connected vehicle industry leaders into MWC Shanghai exhibitors, sponsors, and GSMA members.
Map out business opportunities and recommend actionable initiatives to strengthen GSMA’s position and influence in the intelligent connected vehicles sector.
Plan and manage sector-focused events and campaigns (e.g., roadshows, workshops, roundtables) with a strong emphasis on intelligent connected vehicles.
Collaborate with internal teams (technology, strategic partnership, public policy, marketing, sales) to design and implement effective strategies targeting the intelligent connected vehicles sector.
Support the sales team in booth sales, sponsorship acquisition, and client management for MWC Shanghai, with a focus on intelligent connected vehicles.
Identify and address key demands from stakeholders in the intelligent connected vehicles sector, and help drive actionable outcomes.
As business needs evolve, support the exploration and initial engagement of other promising verticals such as low altitude economy and smart manufacturing, to expand GSMA’s ecosystem influence.
About You
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or partnership roles within the intelligent connected vehicles sector, with strong stakeholder networks; experience in other verticals such as low altitude economy or smart manufacturing is a plus.
Proven track record in developing and executing strategic engagement plans and driving successful industry partnerships, especially in intelligent connected vehicles.
Strong understanding of industry trends and technologies in intelligent connected vehicles, and ability to translate them into GSMA collaboration opportunities.
Experience in B2B sales and client management in the exhibition or event industry is a strong plus.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with sector technologies and development trends, capable of formulating a roadmap for comprehensive cooperation between GSMA and the intelligent connected vehicles sector.
A strong track record of achieving sales targets and client satisfaction goals in vertical industries is preferred.
Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel as required.
