About the Job


As part of our Corporate Finance team, this is a pivotal role responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of Brambles’ external statutory and financial reporting in strict compliance with ASX listing requirements and IFRS. You will manage the Group consolidation process, oversee global statutory close, and lead the preparation and review of of high-profile reports including Annual Report financials and ASX materials.

This hands-on leadership role also involves managing our Group financial reporting system (Oracle HFM), supporting Group FP&A with planning processes, and providing technical accounting advice across the organisation. You will work closely with senior finance leaders globally, external auditors, and corporate functions such as Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations.

The role reports to the Corporate Financial Controller and is based in Sydney CBD with flexible hybrid work arrangements (2–3 days/week in the office). This is an 18-month fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage consolidation of Brambles Group financials for statutory and management reporting under IFRS
  • Coordinate global statutory close and liaise with external auditors
  • Prepare and review ASX releases, Annual Report financial pages, and related disclosures
  • Administer the Group reporting system (HFM) and support planning processes
  • Provide technical accounting advice and lead projects on accounting standard changes
  • Oversee complex accounting processes including impairment reviews and share-based payment accounting

What will ensure your success:

  • Accounting/business degree plus CA qualification
  • Solid post-qualification experience, ideally Big 4 audit background plus commercial experience in ASX-listed reporting
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and consolidation expertise
  • Ability to manage complex deadlines, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver high-quality work under pressure
