Position Summary:
At Unisys, the Senior Legal Operations Specialist – Commercial Contracting supports the global Legal organization by managing the lifecycle of commercial agreements, optimizing contract management processes, and driving system excellence within the Agiloft CLM platform. This role plays a critical part in enabling scalable, data-driven contracting operations to support Unisys’ evolving digital transformation and services business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract Management & Administration
- Conduct contract abstraction and analysis for commercial agreements, extracting key clauses and summarizing critical terms.
- Extract and maintain essential contract data including but not limited to:
- Parties, effective dates, and term
- Termination provisions
- Payment and pricing terms
- Service levels, obligations, and compliance requirements
- Support post-signature processing, contract repository management, and data enrichment.
- Respond to ad-hoc business and legal queries related to contract terms, obligations, and status.
- Develop dashboards and run searches, reports as required to support business needs.
2. Systems & Technology (Agiloft CLM)
- Act as a subject matter expert for Agiloft CLM within Unisys.
- Support deployment of AI-enabled capabilities to enhance: Contract clause search and retrieval; Contract review and redlining workflows; Metadata extraction and reporting automation.
- Coordinate ADOs, system fixes, and enhancements with CIT/IT teams.
- Partner and coordinate enhancements with IT teams while ensuring data integrity, and usability.
3. Process Development & Optimization
- Design and deploy efficient contract management processes aligned with Unisys business priorities.
- Coordinate and implement process improvement opportunities across the contracting lifecycle.
- Support automation, workflow standardization, and best-in-class operational practices.
4. Governance, Best Practices & Standards
- Ensure alignment of contract management practices with Procurement, Sales, and Delivery organizations.
- Promote adoption of industry standards, governance controls, and operational best practices.
- Share insights, learnings, and process improvements with the broader Legal Operations team.
5. Performance Metrics & Reporting
- Maintain KPIs to measure contract lifecycle performance and effectiveness.
- Generate and monitor regular dashboards and reports covering:
- Contract cycle time
- Contract volume and throughput
- Template utilization
- Compliance and risk indicators
- Provide actionable insights to improve processes, systems, and team performance.
6. Operational Support
- Supporting post-execution contract processing and data management.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and repository integrity.
- Provide training and operational support to internal stakeholders on contracting tools and processes.
- Support cross-functional initiatives with Legal, Procurement, Sales Operations, and IT.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Law, Legal Studies, or related discipline required.
- Paralegal, Contract Management, or Legal Operations certification preferred.
Experience
- 6–8+ years of experience in legal operations, contract management, or commercial contracting within a global enterprise
- Demonstrated experience with Agiloft CLM or similar enterprise CLM platforms
- Experience supporting contract management strongly preferred
- Experience working in offshore or global shared services environments preferred
Required Skills & Competencies:
Technical & Functional
- Strong understanding of commercial IT services agreements, MSAs, SOWs, and procurement contracts.
- Expertise in Agiloft or similar CLM tools (e.g., Icertis, Ariba, Ironclad, Coupa).
- Experience with contract abstraction, metadata management, and clause libraries.
- Knowledge of AI-enabled contract review tools and legal technology trends.
- Advanced Excel and reporting/dashboard capabilities.
Operational & Analytical
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Proven experience driving improvements and operational efficiencies.
- High attention to detail and data governance discipline.
- Ability to manage large volumes of contracts in a fast-paced environment.
