GEA

IP Administrator

Soeborg Full time
Would you like to ensure quality handling of IP matters in GEA – helping protect innovation across a global organisation?

At GEA, you get real responsibility in a specialised global IP function where your structured approach truly matters.

Here, you will work in an international environment with flexibility, autonomy and a varied workday. And you will develop into a key system expert while collaborating with dedicated colleagues across borders.

Responsibilities / Tasks

At our office in Søborg, you will join the Intellectual Property Rights Department, a global team of IP Managers, patent engineers, IP administrators and lawyers working together to protect and manage GEA’s intellectual property worldwide.

The IP Department covers all aspects of intellectual property – from invention harvesting and patent filings to trademark registration, enforcement of IP rights and IP contracts. We are a highly motivated and dedicated team characterised by strong team spirit and mutual trust. We celebrate our successes together and support one another through challenges.

“I’m proud to say that our team creates value for GEA on a daily basis by supporting and challenging our colleagues from all around the world. We work across all business units and industries which is both challenging and a lot of fun”, says Karin Nordström Dyvelkov.

As an IP Administrator, you will play a central role in ensuring that our intellectual property processes run smoothly and in a structured manner. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of our IP portfolio, supporting both patent and trademark activities across the organisation.

A key part of the role is working in our IP management system (IPMS), where you ensure accuracy, compliance and timely handling of matters. You will collaborate with various IP boards on renewal decisions and support the department with essential administrative processes. Over time, you will grow into the role of superuser and administrator of the IPMS, becoming the department’s system specialist.

More specifically, you will:

  • Keep the IP management system (IPMS) up to date
  • Handle docketing and deadline monitoring
  • Align with IP boards regarding patent and trademark renewals
  • Gather signatures on Powers of Attorney (PoAs)
  • Perform administrative tasks supporting the IP department

Your Profile / Qualifications

With a structured and systematic approach, you ensure that details are handled accurately and that deadlines are respected. You are comfortable working independently, yet confident enough to seek support when needed.

In addition, we imagine that you:

  • Have documented experience working with databases and IP management systems
  • Have experience and knowledge of patent and trademark administration
  • Work in a systematic and structured manner – and you thrive in a role where precision and quality are essential
  • Are able to work independently while collaborating with colleagues when needed
