The role also coordinates cross-functional validation activities to ensure end-to-end business processes function as intended before deployment. Through disciplined testing and engineering leadership, the position protects operational quality while supporting scalable, technology‑enabled transformation.

  • Design and coordinate end-to-end business validation strategy for projects, releases, and regressions
  • Ensure all system and process changes comply with operational, quality, and regulatory requirements prior to deployment
  • Translate business requirements and business rules into executable validation scenarios and acceptance criteria
  • Document test outcomes including defect findings, risk assessments, and retest activities
  • Maintain standardized documentation and structured reporting aligned with FedEx validation and testing standards
  • Manage validation timelines, dependencies, and structured reporting to stakeholders

Cross‑Functional Integration

  • Coordinate test readiness, operational impacts, configuration changes, and transition planning with multiple stakeholders
  • Represent Strategic Programs Engineering in project reviews, technical evaluations, and operational readiness forums

Operational Readiness & Process Deployment

  • Assess operational impacts of planned changes and support deployment planning, cutover execution, and hypercare stabilization
  • Identify operational risks, process gaps, and improvement opportunities, providing data‑driven recommendations
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and service standards are integrated into all testing and validation activities

Engineering & Continuous Improvement

  • Support initiatives related to process optimization, automation, and capability deployment
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation including workflows, process maps, validation results, SOPs and reusable regression packs

Quality, Compliance & Standardization

  • Ensure adherence to FedEx policies, quality frameworks, and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Standardize testing procedures, documentation, and validation methods across programs and systems
  • Promote a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement consistent with the FedEx PSP philosophy

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar discipline

  • Proficiency with test/defect management tools; familiarity with Agile/Waterfall delivery models is an advantage

Preferred

  • Experience in transportation, logistics, express operations, or similar high‑reliability environments
  • Prior exposure to FedEx operational systems, industrial engineering processes, or cross‑functional project delivery
  • Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment among diverse stakeholders
  • Strong facilitation skills to run triage / defect review sessions and drive decisions with business and IT stakeholders
  • Comfort presenting validation status and go/no-go recommendations with clear rationale and evidence
