Senior FP&A Analyst
Job Description Summary
We have a great an opportunity for an experienced FP&A professional to join our evolving UK&I Finance team in London.
This role will see you support the UK&I business in the development and successful delivery of the financial strategy, financial planning, forecasting, and market intelligence. You will also be working closely with the UK&I Finance Business Partners, championing growth by producing intelligent financial analysis that helps business decisions on corporate development. As well as management of at least one direct report, which in time may increase.
Job Description
About the role:
Analysis and decision making
· Generating insights and analysis from monthly management meetings and providing robust recommendations to leadership
· Support in driving key financial decisions, including capital appraisals and investments, acquisitions and disposals
· Implement alongside the Financial Analyst a suite of reporting aimed at improving visibility on cost and savings opportunities / tracking
Month End / Reporting and Tracking
· Oversee all aspects of monthly reporting including variance analysis, working closely with the Controllership team
· Responsible for monitoring the success of the UK&I financial performance and challenge, develop and monitor strategic growth plans
· Assist the production of the MBR / QBR and delivering monthly management information to EMEA HQ, highlighting any material variances
· Oversee the UK&I Cluster staff cost analysis including headcount and monthly forecasting of costs
Planning and Forecasting
· Lead the forecasting and budgeting process in line with Group requirements. Including timetabling, coordinating / challenging business inputs, and consolidation
· Work closely with HR to align on resource tracking vs plans including payroll analysis and control around hiring decisions
Business Partnering
· Closely support the Marketing & Research teams in understanding financial performance and alignment of service line / financial strategies
· Oversee the UK Occupancy Budget & partner with the FM Team in managing the portfolio and costs
· Assist and have a leadership role in delivering various projects across UK&I
Leadership and Management
· Oversee the one or more team members to ensure they are delivering the end-to-end finance processes
· Accountable to ensure the FP&A objectives are met within set deadlines
Control / Accounting
· Support with statutory and regulatory reporting & audit requirements for the business area
· Adhering to and maintaining compliance to local Group accounting policies including revenue recognition
About You:
Excellent communication skills at all levels in the organisation, with ability to simplify complicated matters
Demonstrates thorough understanding and application of advanced financial analysis techniques
Possesses deep understanding of commercial activity, organisational dynamics and the how to leverage the drivers of value
Demonstrates critical thinking and analytical skills, with proven ability to simplify complicated matters
Experience of working within a matrix organization and driving improvements in organizations going through substantial change
Able to build collaborative and effective working relationships across finance and non-financial teams
We are looking for someone who has several years’ experience in FP&A and Management Accounting. You will be person who can build relationships and trust quickly through knowledge and insight. You will also be proficient with Microsoft Office (with particular emphasis of Excel and Power BI), and in financial and management reporting.
