Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Finance Controller to join our finance team for a temporary position (9 months). This role is crucial in supporting the financial operations of our organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the overall financial health of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Closing Processes: Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Participate in the closing processes for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial reports required by the parent company.

  • Analytical Review: Conduct thorough analytical reviews of financial results and trial balances to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

  • FS annual audit: prepare annual Financial Statements and supporting materials for external audit within defined timelines.

  • Tax Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit regular reports to tax authorities, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations and requirements.  Work in close cooperation with our external tax advisors in the different tax areas: Income Tax, VAT and National Insurance

  • Support for Tax audits and spot checks: gathering, reviewing, preparing  materials required by the tax authorities

  • Financial Controls and Processes: Review local financial controls and processes, identify deficiencies, and provide recommendations for corrective actions to enhance efficiency and compliance.

  • Collaboration with Finance Teams: Work closely with local and regional finance teams to ensure alignment and support on questions requiring deeper accounting and tax knowledge.

  • Support for Internal Audits: Assist in the financial aspects of internal audits, providing necessary documentation and insights to facilitate the audit process.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience. Experience with a Big Four accounting firm is a significant advantage. Knowledge of the Pharma industry is an advantage.

  • Language Skills: Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Familiarity with SAP is a plus.

  • Analytical and Interpersonal Skills: Strong analytical abilities with high interpersonal skills. Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
