NTU is seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join our dynamic team in Office of Development and Facilities Management. The department oversees the physical development and maintenance of all University buildings and grounds in support of the academic, research and administrative functions of the University. As the Senior Executive, Building & Facilities Maintenance, you are responsible for the management of buildings and building services in the Academic/Residential Zones, ensuring they always remain fully functional and operational.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise outsourced contractors to ensure timely and effective delivery of maintenance, corrective works, and essential services, minimising downtime and maintaining a safe and reliable campus environment.
Oversee campus cleaning programmes, including daily and cyclical cleaning, regular inspections, and performance assessments, to uphold high cleanliness standards and enhance the student and user experience.
Coordinate and supervise upgrading and improvement works, including scoping requirements, preparing cost estimates, procuring services, and supervising workmanship. Conduct site inspections and progress reviews to ensure timely completion and compliance with quality standards.
Coordinate and monitor mandatory regulatory inspections, such as BCA structural and façade inspections conducted by appointed Qualified Persons and follow up on rectification of identified defects in a timely manner.
Support fault reporting and case management by monitoring service requests, engaging service providers, and ensuring prompt follow-up and closure of all assigned cases within agreed timelines.
Assist in cost-efficiency efforts by identifying opportunities to improve operational processes, optimise maintenance expenditure, and support initiatives aimed at achieving annual budget savings.
Promote a safe campus environment by supporting safety initiatives, identifying potential trip-and-fall hazards during inspections, and implementing preventive measures within areas of responsibility.
Provide logistical and technical support for events, ensuring timely setup and coordination across relevant stakeholders.
Undertake other duties as assigned by management, in support of operational needs and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements:
Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution with at least 3 years’ work experience in the building or facilities management industry.
Good knowledge in building services design, installation and maintenance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Self-motivated, positive working attitude and customer-oriented.
Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with different levels of people.
