Join NVIDIA as a Senior Director of Engineering and lead our efforts at the intersection of hardware enablement and our partner ecosystem. This role is crucial to ensuring that our brand new platform builds are validated and ready for production at scale. You will drive innovation and collaboration, working with internal teams and external partners to bring our vision to life.
What you’ll be doing:
Build, mentor, and scale a team of engineers and leaders passionate about hardware platform enablement, validation, and production readiness.
Partner with internal hardware and software teams to plan and complete bring-up and readiness for next-generation platforms.
Work together with external partners to coordinate requirements, schedules, and success measurements for new platform enablement and ongoing operations.
Translate evolving roadmaps into clear achievements, ownership, and measurable outcomes; drive execution across multiple teams.
Improve automation and operational tooling to streamline new platform onboarding and reduce time-to-production.
What we need to see:
B.S. or M.S. (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or Information Science with 15+ overall years experience as a software engineering or information technology leader.
7+ years of leadership experience.
Experience growing and expanding engineering organizations that cover both hardware and software, while achieving outcomes in rapidly evolving, uncertain settings. Proven ability to lead cross-company partnerships (e.g., public clouds, hardware vendors, infrastructure partners) and align internally across multiple collaborators.
Hands-on background in one or more of: hardware bring-up, platform validation, bare-metal or VM infrastructure automation, or large-scale systems operations.
Strong program execution skills: iterative delivery, risk management, dependency management, and clear accountability across teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to influence across levels and fields.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience managing hardware platform enablement and/or capacity planning groups at a public cloud company.
Background bringing up and operating large-scale CPU and GPU clusters on new hardware platforms. Experience building both internal platform teams and customer-facing infrastructure services with a hardware enablement component.
Familiarity with technologies such as Linux, Slurm, InfiniBand, distributed storage, BlueField DPUs, NVLink/NVSwitch, or related platform components.
Collaboration history with hardware build, silicon validation, security, or compliance teams, including regulated environments.
Familiarity with AI/ML workloads and hardware-specific reliability, capacity, and performance considerations.
