Job description:                          

 

· Experienced Mechanical Designer with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in mechanical engineering design and drafting using SolidWorks CAD software, detailed design, manufacturing drawings and Bill of Materials release.

 

· Experience in Industrial Machineries and Equipment such as Printing, Packaging, Converting, Textile and Paper machinery and discrete product machinery, preferred.

 

Technical skills:

 

• 3D CAD modelling and detailing engineering – should be able to create 3D models and associated 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T.

• Adherence to CAD standards – ISO, DIN, ANSI.

• Knowledgeable of Electromechanical Purchase parts (sprockets, belts, etc.).

• Exposure to machine building.

• Exposure to varied manufacturing methods.

 

Mandatory Skills:

 

• 3D CAD software proficiency - SolidWorks (Must), AutoCAD and Creo (Preferred).

• EPDM vault user experience.

• Experience in creating manufacturing drawings per ASME Y14.5 standards.

• Experience in New product development.

• Ability to work as a Team.

• MS Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

 

Soft Skills:

 

  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills in English

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with client team 

Education and Experience:

 

•  Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

•   Five to Eight (5 to 8) years of experience.

•   Working experience in OEMs preferable.

Travel:

The candidate will be required to travel to other divisions of Barry-Wehmiller in US and Europe in the short term for training and project support activities.

 

Key Result Areas:

 

•       Ability to study, understand existing machine functions.

•       Excellent CAD tool skills, experience in using all the modules in a CAD tool.

•       Developing manufacturing drawings with GD&T following ISO/DIN/ANSI standards.

•       Effort and Schedule adherence.

Error free deliverables, less of oversight for delivering results
