Job Summary:

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Project Manager to support Design and Construction for our hospital system.

Prepare programs and schematic design for renovations and building projects; manage architectural/engineering consultants in the preparation of project documentation and contract documents; manage all construction activities by coordinating users, consultants, and contractors on schedule, budget, construction and acquisition of materials; provide project cost estimates; ensure project execution is timely, within budget and in accordance with contract documents.

Job Description:

Design

  • Prepares schematic designs to meet the needs defined in programs, manages the work of professional consultants, prepares drawings, specifications, and Group II lists for new construction, and renovation projects. 
  • Manages the design process for compliance with the program, Facility Standards, and intent of the Project.

Budget  

  • Prepares Project budgets to accurately project the cost of the building program or renovation including all professional fees, construction, equipment and other related soft costs such as printing, moving, etc. 
  • Manages Project budgets to ensure best value within approved budgets.

Schedule

  • Prepares Project schedules which meet the needed time requirements established for the Project. 
  • Manages the schedule accordingly.

Buyout  

  • Prepares professional service and construction contracts which clearly define the scope of service and price. 
  • Prepares purchase requisitions for project materials, Group II, and other items needed to meet the intent, schedule and budget of Projects.

Project Activities  

  • Coordinates project activities with appropriate hospital staff, professional consultants, general contractors, building/regulatory inspectors, and material suppliers to ensure the best possible facility both during construction and at completion of the Project.

Close Out  

  • Coordinates Project Close-Out to finalize all reporting, and organize final project documentation in accurate and concise format for inclusion in Facility Master.

Quality/Customer Service  

  • Work with both internal and external customers to provide quality project management and consulting services through a spirit of teamwork and open communication to achieve common goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Adept in CAD Software, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Project Management/Scheduling Software

Kind and Length of Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience in the design, construction and remodeling of institutional buildings
