Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Designer/Designer with a strong background in branded apparel collections and expertise across knits, wovens, sweaters, and tailored separates. This individual will own the collection from concept through execution, shaping seasonal direction and driving cohesive product development.
The role will support two brands, each with a unique design direction. One centered around casual, chic dressing influenced by a relaxed coastal lifestyle, and the other focused on modern, refined collections that balance structure, ease, and everyday wearability.
This role requires a designer with a clear point of view, strong construction knowledge, and the ability to translate trend and market insight into thoughtfully developed product that aligns with brand and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of contemporary polished collections across knits, wovens, sweaters, and tailored separates.
- Own the collection lifecycle from initial concept and seasonal direction through development and final execution.
- Conduct trend research and translate insights into cohesive seasonal stories, silhouette development, fabric direction, and color palettes.
- Ensure consistency and alignment across categories within the collection.
- Develop detailed design packages and partner closely with product development and sourcing teams to maintain design integrity through production.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising and sales teams to align design direction with business objectives.
- Present seasonal concepts and collection direction internally and to external partners as needed.
- Maintain high standards of quality, fit, and construction across all product categories.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience designing contemporary polished collections.
- Strong working knowledge of knits, wovens, sweaters, and tailored separates.
- Deep understanding of fit, fabrication, and garment construction.
- Proven ability to manage the full design process from concept to execution.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple categories and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and PLM systems.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual base salary range: $110,000 – $125,000
(Actual salary based on experience and skill level)
