JOB PURPOSE

This role leads Global Content for Unilever’s Corporate Centre, partnering with our global network of Communications, Corporate Affairs, and Sustainability teams to amplify Unilever’s story across social media and Unilever.com. Your mission: enhance reputation, build trust, and create the conditions for growth and resilience.

You’ll work across Business Groups, Brands, and Functions to spotlight key reputation drivers—brand and marketing excellence, cutting-edge R&D and science, and strong financial performance—through innovative, social-first storytelling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and evolve Unilever’s global social media channels, including community management and engagement strategies.
• Lead the corporate content pipeline and innovation roadmap, ensuring fresh, impactful storytelling.
• Deliver a best-in-class social strategy, driving engagement and amplifying our corporate narrative across all channels.
• Champion measurement and optimisation, using data and insights to continuously improve creative effectiveness.
• Run a global centre of excellence, equipping local markets with tools, insights, and best practices for powerful storytelling.
• Drive complex projects, including embedding AI throughout our content processes to future-proof our approach.

ALL ABOUT YOU

• 8+ years’ experience in Digital Communications or Digital Marketing, with a strong focus on content creation and social media management.
• Proven expertise in crafting and executing social-first strategies, launching new channels, and delivering measurable impact.
• Visionary thinking and creativity, combined with relentless delivery focus and industry thought leadership.
• Deep knowledge of paid media, influencer management, and social platform best practices.
• Data-driven mindset, obsessed with insights and optimisation to enhance user experience and content performance.
• Future-focused curiosity, embracing emerging technologies and staying three steps ahead of trends.
• Exceptional judgment and resilience, thriving under pressure and navigating ambiguity with confidence.
• Leadership experience, including line management and budget responsibility.

Location  

In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever’s offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025. As we are yet to commence consultation on the proposal you agree, until such a time when consultation has concluded, your normal place of work as set out in the enclosed Statement of Terms & Conditions will be 100VE. You agree that on the conclusion of the consultation your place of work will be 100VE or 100VE until early 2025 and then Kingston-upon-Thames ("the locations") and you will be notified of which of the locations will be your place of work after that consultation ends.
